Jhang ASO impounds non-duty paid Toyota Vitz

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO), Jhang has confiscated a non-duty paid Toyota Vitz car worth Rs 900,000 involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 415,000.

As per details, Faisalabad Customs Collector Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary received information about a non-duty vehicle on which he formed a team comprising Superintendent Saeed Akhtar Joiya Inspector Munir Ahmad, Shoukat Khan, Khalid Noor Ashraf, Sepoy Ahmad Bakhsh, Muhammad Ajmal Khan and Ghulam Sarwar.

The ASO team intercepted Toyota Vitz bearing Registration No. ZH-753 near Bhakkar Road, Jhang and asked the owner of the vehicle who was identified as Aftab Ahmad son of Bashiruddin to produce legal documents regarding the possession of vehicle but he failed to provide any relevant document.

The ASO team impounded the vehicle and forwarded the case to the Customs Adjudication for further legal action.
