K-Electric to provide 40MW of electricity to DG Cement Ltd to produce 8500 tonnes cement per day

KARACHI (PR): K-Electric (KE) and DG Cement Ltd have signed a mutual agreement through which the power utility would be providing 40 MW of electricity to DG Cement Ltd for their new cement plant in Hub.
The agreement was signed at the KE House where the management of KE and DG Cement Ltd was present.
According to KE’s press statement, KE would be providing electricity from their Hub Grid Station whereas DG Cement Ltd would be constructing a Line Bay and will also construct a 12 Km long transmission line of 132 KV along with its Grid Station in Hub, Balochistan.
At the ceremony CEO K-Electric TayyabTareen said, “We have been working very closely with companies and organizations that are heavily involved in reviving the economy of the country, and DG Cement Ltd is no different.
We will continue to improve our network and will invest further so as to ensure a smooth and stable supply of electricity.”
Talking about the project DG Cement Ltd’s RazaMansha briefed that the plant will have capacity to provide 8500 tons of cement per day and will be commissioned and energized by the end of 2017.
The plant will engage 6000 workers during the development phase & will provide employment to about 1000 staff members on completion.
