KCCI strongly condemns deadly suicide attack at Qalander’s shrine

KARACHI: The leadership of Businessmen Group (BMG) and Office Bearers of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), while expressing deep concerns over sudden rise in terrorists activities across Pakistan, strongly condemned the deadly suicide attack at the shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalander in Sehwan in which more than 70 people were killed whereas around 300 people were injured.

In a statement issued, Chairman Businessmen Group & Former President KCCI Siraj Kassam Teli, Vice Chairmen BMG and Former Presidents KCCI Tahir Khaliq, Zubair Motiwala, Haroon Farooki and Anjum Nisar, President KCCI Shamim Ahmed Firpo, Senior Vice President Asif Nisar, Vice President Muhammad Younus Soomro fully endorsing Army Chief’s resolve to immediately avenge each drop of Pakistani blood.

They urged sternest action against such anti-state elements were responsible for sabotaging peace and stability in Pakistan. These terrorists absolutely have no religion and they were not only enemies of the state but also enemies of the humanity who must not be spared at any cost and should be given extreme and exemplary punishment, they added.

BMG Leadership and KCCI office bearers, while expressing deep grief and sympathies to the bereaved families, prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and speedy recovery to hundreds of innocent people who were injured in the deadly blast.

They said that the entire business and industrial community of Karachi was deeply saddened and they all stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their brothers and sisters in Sehwan and other parts of Sindh during this hour of grief.

They urged the government and Law Enforcing Agencies to ensure strict security measures at all public places, shrines, mosques, imam bargahs and other sacred places of all religions in order to secure the lives of innocent people and foil all such conspiracies being hatched to destroy peace and tranquility in Pakistan.
