KHUSHAB: The Field Investigation Unit (FIU) of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized a non duty paid Mazda truck bearing registration no: KY- 355 (Quetta) model 1991 worth Rs25,00,000 involving customs duty and taxes Rs 28,95,500.
Sources told Customs Today, that Deputy Director Syed Ittrat Hussain received information about some non customs paid vehicles which were plying on roads. He constituted a team comprising Superintendent Muhammad Tahir, Intelligence Officer Mansoor Nasir driver Tajamul Haq (havaldar) Muhammad Sajjad and Khalil Ahmed (sepoys).
The FIU team intercepted a Mazda truck near Moosa Khail and asked the owner of vehicle who was identified as Rana Dilshad Ali son of Irshad Ahmed to produce legal documents regarding possession of truck but they failed to provide any relevant documents. FIU team seized the truck and forwarded the case to customs adjudication for legal process.
