KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index Wednesday faced another gloomy day and shed 201 points to reach 34231.19 points, despite reduction in political tension in the country.
Earlier, KSE started recouping the previous loss and gained 59 points to reach 34492.21 points with total volume of 29,421,600.
The political tension has decreased between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and MQM after Altaf Hussain’s sorry to Shireen Mizari. The PTI has also called countrywide protest today, which could further halt the economic activities in the country.
On Tuesday, the KSE lost 137.41 points or 0.40 percent to reach 34432.89 points and volume of 151,280,080shares.
