KSE adds 60pts to reach 33043 till midday

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange Wednesday remained in positive note as KSE-100 index added 59.78 points to reach 33043.25 level till midday.

The stocks recorded the highest trading level of 33123.53 points and lowest level of 32934.11 points, with the volume of 63,286,760 shares, having over Rs4.12 billion value. As many as 262 companies were active; of which 129 advanced, 114 declined and 19 remained unchanged.

The three top traded companies were Gharibwal Cement with a volume of 6,237,500 and price per share of 48.11 (2.13), TRG Pak Ltd with a volume 5,300,500 of price per share of 35.00 (0.41), and Pak Elektron with a volume 4,700,000 of price per share of 68.40 (0.08).

The top three gainers were Ferozsons (Lab) with price per share 1199 (42.56), Hinopak Motor with price per share of 1089.90 (18.27) and Highnoon (Lab) with price per share of 595 (12.78).

The top three losers were Shezan Inter with price per share of 630 (-10), Pakistan Cables with price per share of 157.51 (-5.48) and Dawood Law per share of 142.95 (-5.05).

On Tuesday, the KSE-100 index closed just 25.66 points negative at 33,983.47. KMI 30 lost 80.02 points to reach 56,149.82 and KSE All Share ended only 6.08 points down at 23,045.52. The market volumes frog leaped 23.01% to 142.386 million.
