KSE adds another 73pts to reach 32639 till midday

KARACHI: The stocks Friday witnessed some variation as the Karachi Stock Exchange at a stage gained more than 200 points but lost most of them, however, it remained in positive note. The KSE-100 index added 73.48 points to take the tally to 32638.62 points till midday.

The market recorded the highest trading level of 32771.86 points and lowest level of 32565.14 points, with the volume of 32,832,030 shares, having Rs2,532,767,376 value. As many as 267 companies were active; of which 181 advanced, 76 declined and 10 remained unchanged.

Oil & gas marketing companies remained the highest traded sector with total volume of 6,927,450 shares, while the cement remained second traded sector with a total volume of 5,995,200 shares.

The three top traded companies were Sui North Gas with a volume of 4,249,000 and price per share of 29.70 (0.79), TRG Pak Ltd with a volume 3,890,500 of price per share of 36.71 (0.37), K-Electric Ltd with a volume 3,594,500 of price per share of 7.33 (0.09).

The top three gainers were Rafhan Maize with price per share 9250 (178.70), Ferozsons (Lab) with price per share of 945 (29.84) and Highnoon (Lab) with price per share of 433.60 (20.64).

The top three losers were Pak TobaccoXD with price per share of 997 (-52.46), Colgate PalmoXD with price per share of 1451 (-49) and Island Textile per share of 713 (-37).

On Thursday, the stocks recorded a bullish day as the KSE-100 index gained 172.22 points to reach 32565.14 points level at closing.
