KSE continues upward rally, 100-index adds 249pts to cross 33,000 mark

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange continued upward rally and crossed 33,000 mark as benchmark 100-index added 249.08 points to take the tally to 33012.56 level till midday on Friday.

The stock recorded the highest trading level of 33038.76 points and lowest level of 32763.48 points, with the total volume of 98,737,470 share and Rs5,390,346,07 value.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Ltd with a volume of 20,853,500 and price per share of 7.65 (0.26), PTCL with a volume 14,799,000 of price per share of 21.00 (0.43), Fauji Cement with a volume 14,088,500 of price per share of 34.21 (0.92).

The Karachi Stock Exchange started with positive note, gaining 115 points to reach 32878.88 points level on Friday, the last trading day.

On Thursday, the KSE benchmark 100-index lost 79.11 points or 0.24 percent to reach 32763.48 points and volume of 83,565,370 shares.
