KARACHI: The stock Tuesday lost the early gains as the Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark KSE-100 index lost 71.60 points to reach 32686.22 level till midday.
The market recorded the highest trading level of 32994.96 points and lowest level of 32686.22 points, with the volume of 46,005,420 shares, having Rs3.97 billion value. As many as 274 companies were active; of which 111 advanced, 142 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
Technology & Communication remained the highest traded sector with total volume of 9,588,000 shares, while cable & electrical goods remained second traded sector with a total volume of 6,675,740 shares.
The three top traded companies were RG Pak Ltd with a volume of 8,671,500 and price per share of 34.24 (-1.80), Pak Elektron with a volume 4,432,000 of price per share of 66.85 (0.18 Attock Refinery with a volume 4,029,000 of price per share of 207.31 (7.35).
The top three gainers were Siemens Pak with price per share 940 (20), Noon Pakistan with price per share of 297.62 (14.17) and Mari Petroleum with price per share of 702 (13.02).
The top three losers were Nestle Pak with price per share of 7135 (-355.75), Ferozsons (Lab) with price per share of 1029 (-36.78) and Khyber Tobacco XD per share of 361 (-18.86).
Earlier, despite observing a bearish day, the KSE added 102.27 points at opening to reach 32860.09 points level, with the total volume of 5,685,850 shares.
On Monday, none of the indexes entered the green zone as uncertainty over power of Rangers in Karachi dented the investor’s confidence and the benchmark KSE-100 index fell 1.70% (-551.09 points) during the day. The index recovered in the last half hour of trading to close down 0.89% (-290.69 points) at 32,757.82. KMI 30 shed 469.02 points to end at 54,408.10 points while KSE All Share shrunk 0.93% to end day at 22,707.11.
