KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark KSE-100 index added 243.99 points to reach 32994.30 points level till midday on Friday, the last trading day.
The stock market recorded the highest trading level at 32994.33 points and lowest level at 32710.71 points. The maximum trading volume remained 74,269,630 shares, having Rs4,317,523,724 value.
Earlier, the stocks opened with positive note as the KSE-100 index gained 67 points to reach 32817.31 points.
On Thursday, 100-index rose 1.43% or 462.90 points to end at 32,750.31. Trade volumes fell to 180 million shares compared with Wednesday’s tally of 210 million shares. Shares of 361 companies were traded on Thursday. At the end of the day, 240 stocks closed higher, 102 declined while 19 remained unchanged. The value of shares traded during the day was Rs9.4 billion.
