KSE upbeat as 100-index gains 209pts till midday

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange continued to add more points as 100-index up by 0.61 per cent till midday on Thursday.

The KSE-100 index gained 209.41 points to reach 34691.41 points, with the total volume of 88,366,420 shares as the stock recorded highest trading level at 34763.69 points and lowest level at 34482.00 points.

Earlier, the KSE added another 148 points to reach 34630 points mark, with the total volume of 24,694,620 shares in early trading.

The three top traded companies were Dewan Cement with a volume of 40,369,500 and price per share of 12.25 (1.00), K-Electric Ltd with a volume 22,549,500 of price per share of 8.73 (-0.08), Power Cement Ltd with a volume 16,352,500 of price per share of 9.76 (1.00).

On Wednesday, the KSE benchmark 100-index gained 34 points or 0.10 percent to reach 34482.00 points. Total volume traded in the market was 540,401,590 shares with 380 total traded companies out of which 179 were up 175 were down and 26 were unchanged.
