KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait Security Forces have seized 17,004 home-made liquor bottles, 36 barrels full of liquor, 69 Captagon tablets, 10 narcotic pills, a black bag with one shabu envelope, half a kilo of meth, 50 gm of marijuana, 250 psychotropic pills, two guns and ammunition and nabbed seven culprits in different operations here the other day.
On a routine inspection campaign, Ahmadi security arrested two Asians with17,004 home-made liquor bottles, 36 barrels full of liquor, 24 gas cylinders, seven plastic bags of liquor and quantities of yeast they used in manufacturing the liquor.
Meanwhile, Ahmadi police arrested an ex-convict wanted on several cases. He was in an abnormal condition, and had 69 Captagon tablets, 10 narcotic pills, a black bag with one shabu envelope, five half-empty envelopes containing what is suspected to be drugs, and six wrappers containing a brown substance suspected of being heroin. Drugs paraphernalia was also found. KD70 in forged currency along with other suspected substances were also found, along with an air rifle and two boxes of bullets. The car the suspect drove was used in a theft. The suspect was sent to concerned authorities.
Similarly, a gang of four was arrested with half a kilo of meth, 50 gm of marijuana, 250 psychotropic pills, two guns, ammunition and some fireworks, said security sources. Case papers indicate that narcotic detectives had been tipped off concerning a citizen selling drugs. He was arrested along with two other citizens and a GCC national in a camp.
