Kuwaiti businessmen keen to make investment in Pakistan

LAHORE: Kuwaiti businessmen and investors keen to make investment in energy, food security and other sectors in Pakistan especially in Punjab.

A delegation of investors from Kuwait met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here on Tuesday and expressed its interest in investment in energy, food security and other sectors.

Talking to the businessmen delegation, Punjab CM said that Pakistan is facing severe energy crisis which has badly affected education, health, agriculture as well as other sectors. He said that the government has made sincere and unprecedented efforts for resolving the problem of energy shortage. He said that facilities are being provided to the investors in energy sector on priority basis while a highly conducive atmosphere has been created in the province for investment.

The Punjab CM said that the policy of maintaining transparency and standard besides speedy implementation of development projects is being strictly implemented.

Speaking on the occasion Kuwaiti investors expressed their desire to make investment in energy, food security and other sectors in Pakistan especially Punjab.

Chairman Planning and Development, Secretaries of Finance and Energy departments, Chairman Punjab Power Development Company and concerned officers were also present in the meeting.
