Large scale reshuffling in Pakistan Customs likely in next few days

KARACHI: Large scale reshuffling of senior cadre officers in Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is likely to be expected in next week or so, it is learnt here.

The reliable sources informed Customs Today that the FBR wings including Pakistan Customs, Inland Revenue Services (IRS), Customs Intelligence and Investigation and Regional Taxes Offices (RTOs) would experience major reshuffling in upcoming days.

The sources informed that the reshuffling of senior cadre officers of Pakistan Customs including of Grade (BS)-20 and Grade-21 would be happened in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

As far as Custom House-Karachi is concerned, the officers at the level of Chief Collector, collectors, directors would likely to be reshuffled.

“The Chairman FBR Nisar Muhammad and Member Customs Nasir Masroor are wanted to produce some more efficient results as far as the revenue generation, revenue target and elimination of tax evasion and smuggling activities are concerned”, sources added.

The Prime Minister Secretariat and Federal Ministry of Finance are also extended its full cooperation and support to all FBR wings in order to uproot the corruption, tax evasion and smuggling activities.
