Leather garments witness decrease in exports

KARACHI: Leather garments sectors shows a decrease of $9.5 million in exports during July 2015 as compares to previous year.

Secretary Pakistan Leather Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association Asif Raheem while talking to Customs Today has said that during previous fiscal year country collects a revenue of $40.7 million which falls to $31.2 million.

He said that during first month of current fiscal year leather garments exports falls to $95 million. He said that leather exports are decreasing day by day and there are major reasons behind it.

He said we tried our best to bring this situation into the notice of high-ups but they always ignored our appeals.
