KARACHI: All Pakistan Motor Dealers Association completely rejected imposition of 0.6 percent withholding tax on banking transactions. Members of the association observed shutter down strike in Garden, Tariq Road, Guru Mandar, Landhi and Sabzi Mandi areas.
At least 600 show rooms which are situated at Sabzai Mandi remained closed due to strike. Motor Dealers also stage rally and changed slogans against imposition of withholding tax.
On this occasion talking to Customs Today chairman of All Pakistan Motor Dealers Association H.M. Shehzad has said traders of Pakistan are completely rejected this unjustified tax. They warned government that imposition of withholding tax and protests of traders will put a negative impact on national economy who is already in stage of rehabilitation.
