LHC adjourns case against regularity duty on imports till November 21

LAHORE: Implementation of Regularity Duty on imports challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC). The appeal was filed by the M/s Haq Trading before the court.

According to details, Justice Shahid Jameel has heard the appeal in which the counsel for appellant argued that the regularity duty was not imposed before 16th October but imposed on the imported items which is illegal.

The counsel for appellant prayed that the court should stop the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) from collecting regularity duty on imported items.

After hearing the arguments from the appellant, the court issued notice to the FBR and adjourned the case till November 21.
