LHC adjourns luxury tax case till Dec 4

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has adjourned the case against luxury tax till December 4, 2014.

In the last hearing on 20 November, Excise and Taxation Department lawyers and the Punjab chief secretary sought more time to submit their replies against applications of stay orders on luxury tax.

The court has now extended the stay order and adjourned the case until 04 December.

The Punjab government has imposed the luxury tax on two or more than two kanal houses. Several citizens took stay order against the tax. As many as 70 applications have been filed in the LHC against the luxury tax.
