LHC dismisses bail plea of heroin smuggling accused

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has dismissed bail application of an accused involved in 3kg heroin smuggling case.

Justice Mazhar Iqbal Sidhu heard the bail application filed by accused Atif Feroze.

Earlier, the counsel for accused, arguing before the court, submitted that the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) had implicated the accused in a 3kg heroin smuggling case without any evidence and witness. He pleaded the court to grant benefit of bail to the accused.

However, ANF Prosecutor submitted that the accused attempted to smuggle 3kg heroin which was hidden in toilet  of the plane. He submitted that the co-accused had admitted offence and Atif was nominated as main accused in the case. The court after hearing arguments of the parties dismissed the bail plea.
