LHC issued notice to parties on levy of services tax on incoming calls

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued notices to the parties and summoned their lawyers for arguments on formation of the Punjab Revenue Authority and imposition of services tax on incoming calls.

The appellant approached the LHC, challenging the imposition of 10 percent service tax on incoming calls.  In their petition, they said that the federal government had already receiving tax on mobile services and according to law the government could not impose any tax twice.
