LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought a reply from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) till October 16 in a case regarding the detention of Asim Malik in Future Concern scandal. The suspect is still at large.
Yesterday, Mr Justice Mazahir Ali Akber Naqvi heard the case in which Malik has been accused of embezzlement of millions of rupees in the guise of sending people abroad for employment.
Malik Sarood and others appellant argued before the court that Asim Malik got millions of rupees for sending them abroad for employment but he could not meet his words.
The FIA director informed the court that the suspect is staying in UK and is seeking political asylum, adding that it was expected that his plea will be rejected after that the accused will be arrested and sent back to Pakistan.
