LHC seeks finance ministry, FBR’s reply on amendment in tax return

LAHORE: Lahore Tax Bar Association (LTBA) president.Farhan Shehzad has challenged amendment of tax return form 2016 in  Lahore High Court (LHC). In the case, LHC seeks reply from ministry of finance and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on two February 2017.

Justice Abid Eziz Shiekh heard the case in which the appellant argued that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has amended illegally tax return form 2016. At the time of amendment, FBR has not consult amendment with LTBA.

Farhan Shehzad prayed before the court that court may announce that tax return form illegal and also ordered to FBR to launch new tax return under the law. After hearing the arguments LHC  seeks reply from the ministry of finance and Federal Board of on two February 2017.
