The counsel for appellant argued that Amir Rashid Shiekh has no links with prescribed scandal, adding that if subordinates of his client conducted any irregularity, they should be brought to table instead of his client.

He also pleaded the court to accept the bail application of Shiekh and order to release him.

After hearing the arguments the court ordered the NAB to file its reply in this regard.

It is important to mention here that NAB had started the inquiry against the spare parts importer company, Ashmasher Private Limited located in Badami Bagh Lahore and accused Collector Amir Rashid Shiekh of embezzling Rs 200 million customs duty.
