LHC suspends tax notice issued to owners of marriage halls

LAHORE:Lahore High Court (LHC) has suspended tax notices issued by Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to owners of marriage hall owners. LHC also seeks reply from Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

According to details, Justice Shahid Jameel  of Lahore High Court (LHC) heard the case in which the counsel of appellant Farhan Shehzad argued before the court that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has sent tax notices to owners of marriage halls without fulfilment of all legal requirements, that is illegal act.

Added more, he said that according to law and procedure Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) issued show cause notice. He appeals before the court that Lahore High court (LHC) suspends the tax notice to the marriage halls.

After the argument, Lahore High Court has suspended the notices to the marriage halls and seeks answer from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
