LSE-25 index down-20.8 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange-25 index closed at 4,891.5 showing a decrease of 20.8 points.

In all 101 companies transacted, of which 16 improved their rates, 23 lost their worth, while rates of 62 companies remained unchanged. Total turnover and volume for the day was 2,391,400 shares. The Bank of Punjab (R1) was on top of the list with turnover of 515,000 shares.

7000 shares were transacted in Brothers Textile Mills Limited at Rs 12.4100 an increase of Re 1. Kot Addu Power Company Limited transacted 500 shares at various rates and finally closed at Rs 59.38, a decrease of Rs 3.12. Byco Petroleum Pakistan Ltd transacted 74500 shares at various rates and finally closed at Rs 10.20, a decrease of Rs 0.07. Pakistan Reinsurance Co Ltd transacted 1000 shares at various rates and finally closed at Rs 29.40, a decrease of Rs 0.18. Crescent Textile Mills Ltd traded 1500 shares at different rates and closed at previous rate of Rs 22.03. National Bank of Pakistan transacted 6000 shares at various rates and finally closed at Rs 57.00, a decrease of Rs 0.10.
