LSE downs by 38.64 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here on Wednesday witnessed bearish trend by losing 38.64 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 6348.22 points and closed at 6309.58 points.

The market’s overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 1.949 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.916 million shares, showing an upward move of 32,400 shares. While, out of the total 101 active scrips 10 moved up, 33 shed values and 58 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Cherat Cement Company Limited, Arif Habib Corporation, Engro Fertilizers Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 2.10, Rs 1.21 and Rs 1.15 respectively. Attock Refinery Limited, Mari Petroleum Company and Honda Atlas Car (Pak) Limited lost their per share value by Rs 10.89, Rs 5.87 and Rs 5.75, respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included NIB Bank Limited with 560,500 shares, Pakistan International Airline Corporation with 380,000 shares and Silk Bank Limited with 376,000 shares.
