LSE down by 4.87 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) here Monday witnessed bearish trend by losing 4.87 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5503.04 points and closed at 5498.17 points.

The market’s overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 572,300 shares to close against previous turnover of 1.598 million shares, showing a downward slide of 1.385 million shares. While, out of the total 63 active scrips, only 5 moved up, 9 shed values and 49 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Mari Petroleum Company, Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim and Fauji Cement Company Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 2.25, Re 0.96 and Re 0.45 respectively.

Millat Tractors Limited, Hascol Petroleum Limited and Power Cement Limited lost their per share value by Rs 11.00, Rs 1.99 and Re 0.45 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included K-Electric Limited with 350,000 shares, Southern Electric Power Limited with 60,000 shares and Fauji Cement Company Limited with 33,000 shares.
