KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia, the world’s second-largest palm grower after Indonesia, will keep its crude palm oil export tax at zero for an eighth consecutive month in December, a government circular showed on Monday.
The Southeast Asian nation calculated a reference price of 2,177.93 ringgit (US$497.02) per tonne for December. A price above 2,250 ringgit per tonne incurs a tax, which starts from 4.5% and can reach a maximum 8.5%.
