KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to link the manual clearance of consignments at Air Fright Unit (AFU) with WeBoc, the automated system, Customs Today learnt here on Monday.
The sources informed Customs Today that the FBR authorities have given the task to the officials/officers of the Directorate of Reforms and Automation to carry out its working in order to link the manual clearance of consignments at AFU with automated system. “The authorities concerned of the Directorate of Reforms and Automation has almost completed its working in order to link the AFU clearance system with WeBoc,” sources added.
The sources further revealed this scribe that the pilot-project regarding the clearance of consignments through WeBoc has been started and the Customs authorities are keeping proper check on the system in order to ensure smooth flow of clearance through WeBoc. The sources further claimed that the Pakistan Customs authorities will soon organise a ceremony in which they formally announce the inauguration of the clearance of the consignments at AFU through WeBOC, automated system.
