ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate Adjudication Superintendent Siraj Muhammad has issued orders for the release the consignment of smuggled tea after payment of 30 percent of the value of seized tea and taxes.
The Order-in-Original was issued in the case number 100/2014. The value of the consignment is less than Rs 150,000. The Customs Preventive seized the consignment from a bus having registration number RIG-3496.
The tea was packed in five bags. The accused, Muhammad Hanif, could not present documents of import on which the adjudication collector issued an Order-in-Original after reviewing the complete record.
Preventive Inspector Mubeen has said that the consignment will be released after the payment of fine.
