LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority has recovered Rs 900,000 from a bank account of Royal Palm Golf and Country Club. The Royal Palm Club has also assured the Punjab Revenue Authority to pay pending amount of Mehran caterers within 15 days.
According to details, the Royal Palm is a withholding agent of catering company which has a broad network in Lahore but it had failed to submit tax returns for the last two years. Sales tax in transactions of Mehran caterers reached Rs 2 million. The Punjab Revenue Authority has decided to take stern action against the company and recovered Rs 0.9 million from the Royal Palm Country and Golf Club’s bank account.
Sources told Customs Today that the PRA team after failing to receive the amount despite several attempts, took the action and attached the bank account of the club.
