Member Operations Dr. Irshad hails performance of RTO Multan in tax collection

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Member Operations Inland Revenue Dr. Mohammad Irshad Khan visited the Regional Tax Office.

FBR Member Operations Inland Revenue Dr.Muhammad Irshad spent very busy day in RTO in which he chaired various important meetings with officials. The IR-Operations member held meetings with the high ups of the RTO Multan and discusses the important issues in respect of tax collection.

The FBR Member Operations Inland Revenue Dr. Muhammad Irshad has visited RTO for first time after the appointment of new chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and he is visiting all tax offices of FBR in the major cities in order to boost performance of  revenue collection in the country.

He presided over the meeting in the Regional Tax office in which Chief Commissioner RTO Multan Hafiz Muhammad Jamil Owaisi Additional Commissioner Zubair Bilal, DC Headquarter Naveed  Ahamd along with other members of the RTO Multan  were also present .

He was given presentation on revenue collection of the tax office so far with detail briefing on the performance about current fiscal year 2015-16.

Additional Commissioner Zubair Bilal Regional Tax Office informed FBR Member Operations Inland Revenue Dr. Muhammad Irshad about the revenue collection that RTO have outshined in the tax collection by attaining more than set targets for the on-going  fiscal period 2015-16.

Tax Office Multan has collected almost Rs 80217 million during the 2nd quarter of the current fiscal year and achieved 102% tax collection target during this period. Dr.Muhammad Irshad expressed that Multan have significant contribution in the tax collection of country.

He appreciated performance of RTO Multan in terms of tax collection and directed all officials to mobilize the taxpayers of the jurisdiction and advised to put maximum efforts to find potential tax payers to widen the tax net of the country for further collection. Broadening of tax base and enforcement are the areas where the FBR should not compromise.

He directed Officials of RTO Multan to put more efforts for the achievement of collection target of Rs 70 billion allotted by FBR for fiscal year 2015-16.

He stressed that tax base is the set of economic activities and broadening the tax net will contribute more revenues in the collection.He also advised all officials to work honestly and dedicatedly.

He expressed that our economy facing challenges  and we would tackle all these challenges with your cooperation . Member IR visited all sections of the RTO Multan in his visit and inquired about  and further observed  e-filing  operations during his visit.He has motivated the employees and officials of the RTO Multan .

Before the meeting of RTO Multan ,RTO Bahawalpur was also called for meeting in the conference room  in which Chief commissioner RTO Bahawalpur Khawaja Adnan have briefed Member IR  about the performance. Almost fifteen members were attending the meeting from Bahawalpur tax office which includes Commissioner Rajab ud Din, Amjad Farooq.Additional Commissioners Rabia Iffat Muhammad Sultan and DC, Atif Bashir,Ghulam Hussain Doltana,Atiya Rehman  and Sajid Ahmad. Bahwalpur tax Office have collected Rs 4 billion revenue Member IR directed them to accelerate the revenue collection for future by putting their energies.
