Mercadona take on 4,000 summer staff throughout Spain

MADRID: With unemployment in Spain starting to evolve in a  positive fashion, new job contracts are always welcome Mercadona take on 4,000 summer staff throughout Spainand this week it has been announced that Mercadona is employing.

Supermarket chain Mercadona is preparing for the summer by taking on 4,000 extra staff in anticipation of increased turnover and in order to cover for those taking their annual holidays.

Having already opened 17 new stores this year the Mercadona chain currently consists of 1,536 supermarkets, with a workforce of 74,000. The company is well-known for its policy of providing stable employment and advantageous working conditions for its employees, and last year 98% of staff received bonuses totaling 263 million euros for meeting objectives. In 2015 over 54 million euros are being invested in the opening of 60 new stores.

The summer contracts being offered by Mercadona include the months of June, July, August and September, and entail a net salary of at least 1,100 euros per month: anyone interested can submit their applications at the company website or any of the supermarkets belonging to the chain.
