Mianwali ASO impounds Toyota Land Cruiser worth Rs19.6m

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO), Mianwali has impounded a Toyota Land Cruiser worth Rs19.647 million while its duty tax value is Rs13.647 million.

Sources told Customs Today that ASO Mianwali Additional Collector Saeed Asad received information regarding smuggling of above said vehicle. After receiving information he immediately constituted a raiding team comprising Deputy Collector (D.C), Rizwan khan, Suprintendent Choudhary Muhammad Sardar and Inspector Azhar Hussain Jafri, Muhammad Omar Bhatti, and Sepoys Muhammad yousaf, Muhammad Abdullah, Faiz Ahmed, Muhammad Feroz and Sher Ahmed Sepoys.

The ASO team intercepted foreign origin (F/O), used Land Cruiser (V-8), ZX bullet proof in black colour fully automatic touch wireless fitted (Sunroof), model 2011 as per seat belt having horse power 4600-CCS near Musa Khalid area of Mianwali. During the search the team asked its owner, who was identified by Tahir Ali Qureshi son of Abdul Khaliq Qureshi residential Malir Karachi to provide legal documents of the vehicle but he failed to provide the same. After his failure, the ASO team impounded Toyota Land Cruiser and registered a case against its owner.
