WARREN: Cocaine worth $1 million and $291,147 in cash were seized in a raid at a township home in one of the largest drug busts in Somerset County history.
Also recovered in the Dec. 18 arrest of Charles Lewis, 42, at his home on Sneider Road was $200,000 worth of heroin, Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano said.
In all, Soriano said, 10 kilos of cocaine and two kilos of heroin were recovered in the raid.
Lewis is being held in Somerset County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bail set by Superior Court Judge Robert Reed.
Members of the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force along with the Warren and Bound Brook police departments conducted the search of the home.
