Midday: Bear-run keeps KSE in negative zone; 100-index loses 56pts

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange Monday remained in bearish note till midday as 100-index lost 56.33 points to reach 36166.30 points level.

The stock recorded the highest trading level of 36332.67 points and lowest level of 36144.62 points, with the total volume of 63,538,660 shares, having Rs5,350,303,235 value.

Earlier, the KSE started week with negative note as KSE-100 index lost 60.75 points to drop to 36161.88 points level in early trading on Monday.

On Friday, the stock market closed at 36,222.63 points, adding 481.11 points or 1.34% as compared to the previous week’s closing at 35,741.52 points. Volumes declined by 27% Week on Week (WoW). During the week, a net foreign inflow of $4 million was witnessed, which follows a net out-flow of $20.92 million seen in the previous month.
