Midday: KSE sees variation, remains in negative zone

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange witnessed variation in trading as benchmark KSE-100 index lost 40.50 points till midday on Friday.

The stocks recorded highest trading level at 36327.24 points and lowest trading level at 36177.74 points, with the total volume of 77,497,990 shares, having Rs5,210,355,371 value.

Earlier, the KSE took negative start, losing 40 points to reach 36188.86 points level, with total volume of 29,900,160 shares.

On Thursday, the KSE benchmark 100-index gained 72.05 points or 0.20 percent to reach 36228.88 points and volume of 177,310,360 shares. Total volume traded in the market was 177,310,360 shares with 379 total traded companies out of which 231 were up 126were down and 22 were unchanged.
