Millions of rupees illegally imported vehicles impounded

LAHORE: Customs Intelligence and Investigations, Customs Preventive Anti-smuggling Organization separately impounded millions of rupees illegally imported vehicle of assorted types from various place in and around Lahore during the month of June 2016.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation authorities detained non customs paid Mark-X from Bahria Town. The car was valued at Rs around Rs5 to Rs6 million.

Similarly, Customs Intelligence and Investigation has detained non customs paid Toyota Surf Hilux from Ravi Road while Honda car from Thokar Niaz Baig. The vehicles were valued at Rs 2 million.

The Customs authorities also seized Mark-X from a property dealer from Johar Town, the value of the car was estimated at Rs 2 million. Likewise, Customs Preventive ASO seized illegally imported Inter Cooler car worth Rs1 million.

The customs authorities on information intercepted a coaster which was being run on fake documents and number plate.  The sources said that the coaster was valued at Rs 4 million.

Similarly, Customs Preventive anti-smuggling teams seized non-customs paid Mark-X model 2009 from a top police official’s family. The value of the car is determined at Rs 5 million.
