ISLAMABAD: Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling Court would indict model Ayyan Ali, involved in currency smuggling on November 12

Meanwhile, model will file an appeal in Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday requesting her acquittal from currency smuggling case.

Defence lawyer Latif Khosa earlier submitted an acquittal plea in customs court but it was dismissed during last Friday’s hearing.

Ayyan was apprehended at the Islamabad airport on March 14 as she waited in a VIP lounge before her Dubai flight. Pakistani law bars any passenger from carrying over $10,000 and investigators say they found $506,800 tucked into her luggage.
