More awards for youngest Nobel Laureate, Malala

KARACHI: The European Union Education Foundation (EUEF) has nominated Nobel Laureate Malala Yousufzai for its annual award.

The EUEF spokesperson Afzal Bukhari said that the foundation will award Malala for her contribution in the education field, adding that, a prize, worth about 10,000 euros, will be presented to her in Brussels in an award giving ceremony.

It is important to mention here that the EUEF nominates individuals hailing from third world countries for their contribution to the education sector and little Swat girl, aged 17, will be the first Pakistani nominee for the award since 2007.

On the other hand, Norwegian Nobel Committee picked Malala for the prestigious peace award, making her the youngest winner of the accolade and first from Pakistan.
