M/s Poly Tech deposits evaded tax after PCA’s notice

KARACHI: In response to an audit observation served by the Directorate of Post Clearance (PCA), M/s Poly Tech International, has deposited evaded taxes/duty worth Rs 227,397 in the national kitty.

According to the PCA, M/s Poly Tech International imported three consignments of coated calcium carbonate Grade EF-80 through Appraisement-East and cleared the same through their clearing agent M/s World Wide Cargo Express by mis-declaring the goods under PCT heading 3824.9094 chargeable to custom duty at 5 percent instead of 3824.9099 chargeable to 10 percent.
