Multan Additional Collector issues order for interim release of vehicle

MULTAN: Additional Collector Fayaz Anwar has ordered the interim release of a truck already seized by the Customs Department.

As per details, the Customs intelligence seized a Hino truck bearing registration number TKQ-071  in November and seizure report was forwarded to the Customs Adjudication  where Collector Fayaz Anwar heard the case.

Owner of the seized vehicle Salahuddin son of Muhammad Nazar, a resident of Multan, pleaded in front of Additional Collector for the release of his seized vehicle.

Owner admitted that he is willing to pay duty taxes if Customs gave him any relief. After hearing the case, the Collector Customs Adjudication directed for the interim release of the vehicle after payment of duty taxes and fine. The vehicle has been sent to Multan Dry Port for assessment of duty and taxes and Rs 40,000 fine has also been imposed on the owner of the vehicle .

The net worth of the seized vehicle is almost Rs 2 million and further proceedings of the will continue on next hearing in the seizure of vehicle.
