Multan Adjudication decides 43 seizure cases worth Rs.38.225m

MULTAN: Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office decides 32 seizure cases of worth Rs38.225 million during the month of November 2019-20.

According to the details, Customs Adjudication has conducted hearing of different seizure cases during November 2019-20. Customs Adjudication collector, additional collector and deputy collector conducted trial of these seizure cases according to their authorized power to adjudicate cases as per their rank and amount of duties and taxes involved against in seized goods or vehicles.

Afghan route closure weighs on Pakistan-Central Asia trade, exports fall 9%, imports plunge 88%

These seizure cases were detected by Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation and Anti-Smuggling Organization in their different actions.

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Sumaira Umer decided 15 seizure cases which involved revenue of Rs.27.300 million for the period of November.

The decided case of additional Collector Customs Adjudication includes different smuggled cases of vehicles and other seized goods.

Additional collector has decided all seizure cases in favour of Customs department after conclusion of trial on the basis of presented evidences.

As many as 6 fresh seizure cases were added in the court of Additional Collector Customs Adjudication in November for trial.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication has concluded 17 different seizure cases of worth Rs10.925 million during November. As many as 29 fresh seizure cases of valuing Rs.17.955 million have been added for trial in November.

Collector Adjudication Dr. Ahtar Hussain has issued 14 different show cause notices to respondents for trial of worth Rs.117.400 million during November.
