Multan Adjudication settles 23 seizure cases worth Rs41.959m in April

MULTAN: Customs Adjudication has settled 23 various seizure cases of worth Rs.41.959 million for the month of April.

According to details, Customs Adjudication Multan has disposed 23 various seizure cases of collector, additional collector and deputy collector after hearing the point of view of respondents in their seizure cases.

Deputy Collector Farhat Ali has decided four different seizure cases of Rs4.559 million during the month of April after completion of hearing in these seizure cases and 19 fresh seizure cases were added for hearing in Customs Adjudication in the month of April.

Additional Collector Customs Addjudication Muhammad Talib has decided 17 various seizure cases which involved revenue of Rs28.50 million during the month of April. The decided case of Customs Adjudication includes 15 different smuggled vehicles and other goods seized by Anti-Smuggling Organization and Customs Intelligence Multan Range Office in their various actions. As many as 22 new cases of worth Rs.38.600 million were added in Customs Adjudication for hearing for additional collector.

Collector Customs Adjudication Mirza Mubashir Baig has also concluded two seizure case of worth Rs8.90 million after conclusion of hearing during April. Collector Adjudication have decided one case in  favour of department and also one case in the favour of taxpayer after proceedings. There were six new seizure case of Rs94.952 million added in the collector court.

Customs Adjudication Multan has 43 different seizure cases of worth Rs121.141 million pending for their adjudication process from last three months due to unnecessary delay from respondent and their counsels.

Now Customs Adjudication Multan has fixed hearing dates of various pending seizure cases for their quick disposal.
