Multan Adjudication settles 32 seizures cases involving Rs137.823m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed 32 seizure cases involving Rs137.823 million during the month of June 2021-22.                

The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed of 32 cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation during their various actions. Multan Customs Adjudication has disposed these seizure cases in June after completion of hearing. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in the 32 various seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Aneeqa Afzal settled almost 11 various seizure cases of worth Rs.6.050 million throughout June after concluding legal proceedings. Deputy collector settled said seizure case in the favour of Customs department after assessing presented evidences. Almost 19 various fresh seizure cases of Rs10.159 million have been added in the month of June in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.                  

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Talib Hussain has decided 13 various seizure cases of worth Rs.24.533 million throughout the month of June 2021-22.Additional Collector has settled 12  seizure cases in the favor of Customs department and one seizure case was decided in favour of respondent after observing facts during trial in June. Near about 14 new seizure cases of Rs.26.633 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during June 2021-22.                  

Collector Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq settled 8 different seizure cases of worth Rs.107.240 million for the duration of June 2021-22. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. Majority of these decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others. As many as six different seizure cases of worth Rs.40.457 million were added during said month for legal trial.
