Multan Adjudication settles 42 seizure cases involving Rs195.424m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed of 42 seizure cases involving Rs195.424 million during the month of July 2020-21.

The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has disposed of 43 different seizure cases framed by Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation during their various actions. Multan Customs Adjudication has disposed these seizure cases in June after completion of hearing. Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office has issued Order-in-Original (ONO) in the 42 various seizure cases after completion of legal proceedings on the basis of presented facts.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Multan Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled 24 various seizure cases of worth Rs16.358 million throughout June after concluding legal proceedings. Deputy collector Abdul Mueed Kanjoo settled all seizure cases in the favour of Customs department except one seizure case after assessing evidences. Almost 21 fresh seizure cases of Rs17.699 million have been added in the month of June in the Customs Adjudication Multan Camp Office.

Additional Collector Customs Adjudication Sumaira Omer has decided eight various seizure cases of worth Rs.16.300 million throughout the month of June 2020-21.Additional Collector has settled all said seizure cases in the favor of Customs department after observing facts during trial in June. Near about 8 new seizure cases of Rs.16.800 million were added for trial in the court of Additional Collector Adjudication during June 2021.

Collector Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq settled almost 11 different seizure cases of worth Rs.162.766 million for the duration of June. All these seizure cases were decided in the favor of Customs department. Majority of these decided seizures were against violation of rule, smuggling, misuse of DTRE export facility cases, petroleum and others. As many as 10 different seizure cases of worth Rs. 110.849 million was added during said month for legal trial.
