Multan ASO seizes non customs paid vehicles & goods worth Rs41.40m during July

MULTAN: Customs Anti-Smuggling organization (ASO) has seized non-custom duty paid vehicles and goods worth Rs41.40 million in their different anti-smuggling actions during the month of July 2017-18.

According to details, Anti-Smuggling Organization has carried out various anti-smuggling operations in the region on the directives of Collector Saud Imran Ahmad to thwart smuggling of good and non-customs paid (NDP) vehicles in the jurisdiction.  The Customs Collecorate has detected twelve various cases of smuggling in the jurisdiction in their various activities during month of July. Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization has showed outstanding performance during the above said period.

Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization car cell impounded nine various vehicles during their massive crackdown against smuggled vehicles in their jurisdiction on the basis of received information.

Anti-Smuggling Organization has conducted different anti-smuggling operations in three widely range districts including Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Sadiqabad. The Anti-Smuggling Organization of the Customs Collectorate Multan has successfully impounded nine foreign origin vehicles of worth Rs25 million in their various anti-smuggling activities during the month of July 2017-18.

These impounded vehicles were of different models and made ups including Toyota Land Cruiser, Mitsubishi Pajero, Toyota Vitz, Suzuki Vitara, Nissan Diesel Oil, Toyota Hilux Surf and others. All Seized vehicles captured by Anti-smuggling Organization during their action were non–tampered and non-customs paid.

Multan Customs Anti-Smuggling organization has also intercepted foreign origin High Speed Diesel Oil along with oil tanker, smuggled cloth and auto parts of worth Rs.25.40 million during their intensified actions in the jurisdiction. Anti-Smuggling actions in the territory are promoting legitimate trade.
