Multan ASO seizes six cars worth Rs 7.5 million

MULTAN: The Anti-Smuggling Organization Multan has seized six non-duty paid cars worth Rs 7.5 million during  different raids and road checking as the scrutiny of the roads has been  tightened up in Southern Punjab on the special instructions of the Customs Collector.

According to details, the Model Customs Collectorate Multan’s Anti-Smuggling Organization has confiscated six non-customs paid cars, including five Toyota Fielders and one Toyota Corolla car worth Rs 7.5 million in different raids as well as during road checking. The six cars have been confiscated under the Customs Act 1969.

It is learnt that the Anti-Smuggling Organization has been taking strict action against the smugglers  to bring them under the clutch of law and on the special instructions of the Customs Collector the road checking has been tighten up throughout the Southern Punjab to curb the menace of smuggling.
