MULTAN: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Multan has seized imported chocolates on non-payment of customs duty in an operation.
According to the details, the ASO has seized chocolates of various brands during the vigilance near the location of Delhi Gate. Smuggled chocolates were loaded on a truck which was coming from Quetta. Customs recovered almost 70 cartons of chocolates including ANATA Fingers, Ramtin, Shoniz Nado, Cocoa Puffed Rice, Crispy Filled Cocoa Cream and Caramel Coated Bar.
The owner failed to provide any import document to ASO on which customs team seized the chocolates under section 16 of the Customs Act, 1969.The value of the smuggled chocolates were almost at Rs 500,000.
