Multan: Collector Saleem Ahmad Ranjha adjourns SM Food Company case till March 30

MULTAN:   Customs Adjudication Multan Collector Saleem Ahmad Ranjha has adjourned the Saim Mobeen (S.M) Food Company duty tax evasion case of Rs.4.7 million till March 30.

As per detail, the arguments in the case have almost been completed by respondent and applicant in last hearing.

Now, the decision might be announced in next hearing on March 30 by the collector adjudication in the presence of accused owner of S.M Food Company Zulfiqar Anjum and Manager Waseem Shahab who were released on bail by special custom court.

S.M Food Makers were allegedly involved in the case of mis -declaration on import of steel iron rods used in baking of biscuits. It is important to mention that customs had released the confiscated items on payment of principle amount.

The company had evaded custom duty of Rs 4.7 million through mis-declaration as it had showed invoice of €12,700 instead of real invoice of €127,000.
